Retaining Stephen Tulloch: A no-brainer for the Tennessee Titans

February 11, 2010

Similar to the subject of my most recent article (Tony Brown), the impending free agent status of fellow Titan defensive stalwart Stephen Tulloch is also in limbo due to the NFL’s situation with an expiring collective bargaining agreement.

To make a long story short: New CBA= Tulloch is an unrestricted free agent, No CBA= Tulloch being a restricted free agent.

As the case with my feelings towards bringing Brown back into the fold, re-signing Stephen Tulloch should also be a top offseason priority for the Tennessee Titans. (more…)

It’s good to see many of you have followed us here on our new temporary home. Thanks for being with us.

Veteran linebackers Keith Bulluck and David Thornton will be placed on Injured Reserve, Titans coach Jeff Fisher announced today.

The problems weren’t entirely due to the loss of Bulluck. The d-line had some injury issues and Michael Griffin was still on the field, both of which were contributing factors, but the defense had a 24-6 lead when Bulluck left and couldn’t hold that 18-point lead. Titans who may not be back in 2010

October 29, 2009

There should be a poll up about the decision today naming VY as the starter. This post would’ve been written earlier but for technical difficulties-I’m not trying to ignore the latest news.

Two months ago, looking ahead, the question that would have seemed to be facing the Titans in the 2010 offseason would be whether or not the Titans would have a realistic shot at seriously competing for a Super Bowl berth in 2010 and which veterans should be retained for another year. As we look toward Week 8 of the 2009 season, though, it’s depressingly apparent that that open window mostly closed in the recent offseason.

With the window mostly shut, the decision as to which players might be retained changed a little. So, which Titans could be looking at playing elsewhere in 2010?
